This month New York became the 5th state to pass legislation enabling the creation of 'B Corp's, or Benefit Corporations that can live by values other than solely financial benefit to shareholders.

First post. First book: The Corporation: the pathological pursuit of profit and power by Joel Bakan. Main point: corporations aren't just selfish, they are legally required to be selfish in the supposed interests of their shareholders. Bakan gives extensive and eye-opening examples to prove his point, going back to Henry Ford being sued by his investors for seling cars too cheaply.

We are working to finalize data agreements with KLD and some new data vendors. We are hopeful to have agreements in place by mid-July and will be integrating the data shortly thereafter.
