Sludge, seriously, dude get with the program! The biggest advantage of a filter like this is that it allows all the oils from the ground coffee bean into the coffee instead of filtering it out the way paper filters do. THIS is real coffee the way it's supposed to be with all the lovely aromatic tasty natural oils from the bean included. On top of that it's environmentally friendly and thrifty, no more cutting down trees just to make a cup of coffee!

Unless you like sludge in your coffee do not buy this. With either home ground or coarse ground store bought there is a layer of sediment on bottom of carafe. works good if you like to pour out last one half inch of coffee.
